Julieta Kilgelmann is an Argentine-born, Santa Fe– and London–based theatre director, performer, and multimedia artist whose work bridges physical theatre, immersive experiences, and experimental performance.
Trained in dramatic acting at Universidad del Salvador (Buenos Aires) and later in corporeal mime and physical theatre at the International School of Corporeal Mime (London), she blends a rigorous physical language with poetic staging and sensory exploration.
She holds a Master’s degree in Performance Design from the University of the Arts London, where she deepened her research into the integration of body, space, and technology.
Her artistic journey has taken her across multiple countries, including Argentina, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Greece, Serbia, and North Macedonia, shaping a transnational perspective that informs her creative and pedagogical practice.
As a teacher and director, Julieta is committed to developing a contemporary pedagogy of the body: one that reclaims physical theatre as a form of resistance, imagination, and emotional truth. Her teaching practice inspires performers to connect deeply with the physical intelligence of the body and to create bold, multidisciplinary works.
She continues to explore the transformative potential of performance by challenging theatrical conventions and creating multisensory experiences that foster genuine connection.
